Jaigarh Fort

A grand fort built to protect Amber Fort and famous for the world's largest cannon on wheels.

Jaigarh Fort, perched on the promontory called the Cheel ka Teela (Hill of Eagles) of the Aravalli range, was built in 1726 by Jai Singh II to protect the Amber Fort. The fort houses the world's largest cannon on wheels, the 'Jaivana Cannon,' and offers panoramic views of the Amber Fort and Maota Lake. The fort is also home to a museum showcasing artifacts and photographs.
