Florence Cathedral

Florence Cathedral, or the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, is a major landmark of Florence with its iconic red dome.

Florence Cathedral, also known as the Duomo, is a magnificent example of Gothic architecture. Its most striking feature is the dome engineered by Filippo Brunelleschi, which was the largest in the world at the time of its completion in the 15th century. Inside, visitors can admire beautiful frescoes and climb to the top of the dome for breathtaking panoramic views of Florence. The cathedral complex also includes the Baptistery and Giotto's Campanile.
